ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF GUMMY BEAR BREAST IMPLANTS

BY: HEMPSTONE MWANGALE : Gummy bear implant is a name given to high-strength silicone gel implant. In the medical world, it is called a cohesive silicone gel implant. As the name states, these implants are made of silicone gel. Cohesive silicone gel implant has a semi-solid form, because the material inside it is very dense. The silicone gel breast implant, on the other hand, is in liquid from.

ADVANTAGES
One of the best things about gummy bear implant is its ability to hold its shape. This means that even if it ruptures, it will retain its shape and not leak. We have all heard of cases in which the silicone gel breast implants ruptured and leaked inside the body. Well, with the gummy bear implants you do not have to worry about any leakages, because the material inside them is dense and will not leak out in the event the shell breaks or ruptures.
Recent studies have shown that gummy bear breast implants have a much lower leakage rate than other available breast implants. However, it is important to point that the overall leakage rate of gummy bear implants is still not available.
Provide Real Shape another advantage of gummy bear implants is that they are able to provide real looking breasts. Since these implants are made of semi-solid material, they can easily be shaped into a teardrop shape, which is how the real breasts look. Moreover, gummy bear implants retain their shape for very long period of time.
The gummy bear implants also feel like natural breasts. The gummy bears are soft and squishy and they remain so after breast implantation surgery.
The regular silicone gel implants and saline implants would become hard, if they were overfilled. However, with gummy bear implants there is no such issue. These gummy bear implants come in variety of sizes. All you need to do is choose the size that fits your body.
DISADVANTAGES
One of the main disadvantages of gummy bear implants is that there is not enough data to back them up. Yes it is true that whatever data is available shows gummy bears implants in good light, but the data is not conclusive. Thus one cannot rely on the data completely.
Another disadvantage of gummy bear implants is that they require a large incision for implantation purpose. Since they are semi-solid in nature, they cannot be pushed through small incisions like the saline and silicone gel breast implants. The surgeon at least needs to make an incision of 4.5 to 5.5 cm for gummy bear implants. The surgeons usually use the underneath incision with these implants, because these implants are very difficult to insert using the areola and armpit incisions.
Since these implants are made in teardrop shape, their rotation will lead to breast distortion. However, rotation can only occur if the implant has been fitted inside a loose tissue pocket. This risk is minimized, if due care is taken during surgery.
Another disadvantage of gummy bear implants is the possibility of fracture. Since they are of semi-solid nature, there is always a possibility that they can fracture. However, there are no known reported cases of fracture. Thus surgeons do not really know if they can fracture and what happens if they do.
VERDICT
So far there has not been much negative news about these implants. However, we still need to wait for the final verdict.
If you are thinking about gummy bear implants, make sure that you choose an experienced and certified plastic surgeon for the job.

LET’S FIGHT ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE AMONG THE KENYA YOUTHS

I may not be perfect to write about alcohol and drug abuse for I have been a victim and I am still trying to fight it even after being taken to different rehab centre’s, but after realizing that drugs kill I decided to reduce my alcohol and drug consumption which I have been using for 9 years and it is working for it is a decision I made from my heart and I am proud that I have greatly reduced my drug usage and very soon I will have quit completely. Drugs might make you happy but it kills many, most parent’s take they’re children to rehab centres and after they leave the rehab they see no change. To quit drugs is someone’s decision and determination to live a drug free life.
Statistics showing high rates of alcohol and drug abuse among the youth have forced the Government to take drastic action on the peddlers. The President called on the National Authority for Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (Nacada) to formulate measures to curb drug abuse. He directed the National Treasury to allocate more resources for prevention and control of alcohol and drug abuse and seek innovative ways of securing funding to increase Nacada’s resource base in the fight against substance abuse.
Much has been done but there are peddlers everywhere who still sell drugs to the youths mostly aged from 16 and those who are in their early 20’s. We need to work together as a nation and not let the Government to do everything for us for us as citizens we know who the peddlers are and we need to root them out to bring them to justice.

KENYA SPOILING THE RASTAFARAI MOVEMENT

Most Kenyans have ruined the rastafarai religion by linking it to the smoking of bhang which is not true for it is a religion respected the same way any other religion. Kenyans might feel that the rasta beliefs on the second coming of Christ through Haile Selassie is false but they should know that all prayers lead to one God whom all religions believe in.
This belief, which is a core part of the Rastafari philosophy, was taken up at the inception of the religion. In the early 1900s, Marcus Garvey prophesied that a new black king would soon come to Africa and that man would be the messiah. Not too long after this, in Ethiopia, a new king was crowned and his name was Haile Selassie I.
Seeing this as a sign of what was prophesied, the burgeoning Rastafari movement took this man as the second coming of Jesus. However, while most Kenyans would not believe in a second coming of the messiah solely based on prophecy, the Rastafarians wouldn’t either. They point to other evidence as well, particularly the claim that Haile Selassie is related to King Solomon, giving him a connection to Jesus.
Many Kenyans are attracted to the idea of being a Rastafari because it means they have a religious excuse to smoke ganja. Some of them may be surprised then that smoking ganja is not only optional for Rastafarians but isn’t really all that central to their faith. Some Rastafari simply choose not to smoke weed at all. The movement is religious and Kenyans should learn how to respect it and not tarnish the image of the rasta movement by smoking ganja.
So please respect peoples religions and do not ruin their image.
